So, for awhile this evening, I couldn't send text messages. I have Sprint, which I am generally happy enough with, but tonight, not so much.
I thought it might just be me, but then I found out my little brother's phone was infected as well. Curses!
But it did not end there. Logging on to Facebook, I found that many status updates were documenting Sprint texting outages.
Were you affected by The Sprint Text Blackout of 2008? I want to see how big this thing is, and no one is reporting on it yet.

I'm not a Sprint user and I've not heard anything about this.
I've had the odd problem with Rogers in Canada where I will get a voicemail, listen and delete it, and then it will not show up in their system as deleted. So it continuously shows that I have a voicemail, but the worst part about this is that it blocks all incoming text messages until the voicemail is actually deleted. So I'm faced with the awkwardness of calling Rogers to explain that "my friends are texting me I'm just not getting them!". Which makes you sound like a desperate loner, but is a necessary evil.
i would also like to know why this hasnt reached the news yet. i am a sprint carrier and a frequent text messaging user and i was also curious as to what was going on.
problems again tonight, third seperate occasion of sprint text messaging failures
very frustrating
I'm not a Sprint customer. In fact, I don't have a cell phone, nor do I text. The way I figure, I got email and a phone with an answering machine at home--if you can't reach me, it's possibly that I am screening (I do it all the time) or that I am actually out, or that I am just plain ignoring the ringing phone and want to ignore everyone who thinks their calls are more important than my sanity. I consider all of that my contact sport... *hehe*
PS. Matt, did you really need to change your picture to that one? I know that Hillary could pass for a man on that pic, but... *sheesh man!*
